[LRflex] Re: IMG: FZ as in Furry Logic Gateau sec

There we are David - nearly everything is expressed in the post - I thought Canadians took French more seriously :-( (cheeky I know, my friend, ;-) )

The story goes as follows:
a) Timo's doggy is a nice puppy but can't help moving, to say the least - youth some will say. b) her hair is incredibly thin and a challenge to any lens maker, Leica included. I have dumped scores of shots since she joined the family last year c) I used a Summicron R 50 on my Panashita (courtesy of David Young ;-) , thanks again by the way as it was you and Alice conspiring in my back that got me to have one) i.e. 100mm 35 equivalent - f.2 hence reduced DoF. d) the restless puppy was shot in natural light, using liveview to get the eye sharp, metering the eye only - adjusting exposure by trial and error , easy with digital as you well know. e) in Lightroom (Chambre Claire) I edited the shot in order to get the eye as I wanted it to be, and blew the lighter zones up as a result
f) crop to taste

That's it !

But I still wish I had a camera and lens to pay tribute to her hair - amazingly thin, really. I'd need high ISO for her unpredictable moves, and a real top of the MTF chart lens to go with it. :-[
Some day ... if such a lens exists ...

Thanks for viewing and commenting David.

Amitiés from frosty France
Philippe

OK... Philippe! Give it up! I want to know the secret...

You've got the eyeball tack sharp ... and almost nothing else! Fuzzy/furry, indeed!

I really like it... but how did you do it?

Cheers!
