Good Sunday Morning, Xavier!

The "developed RAW" version of the Cellist, is definitely superior to
the jpg version. Nicely done!

But, of course your RAW shots are in colour! Think about this... the
monochrome mode strips the colour info out of your jpgs, leaving a
b&w image, because you told the camera to do so. But the jpgs are
processed images. In RAW mode, there is very little processing, and
the image is, essentially, simply the data from the (colour)
sensor. But, as you say, you can always strip the colour out, once again!

I must admit, a certain fondness for your "famous
restaurant". Indeed, I liked the "window view". :-)

For those who find themselves a wee bit confused by this "in joke"........

When Rose and I visited Xavier last fall, he took us to Brasserie
Bofinger and we dined looking out the leftmost second floor
window. If you have the chance to dine in Paris, I cannot recommend
the Bofinger highly enough. I've been lucky enough to have dined in
some 29 countries and never have I had such a meal as we ate
there! The food was incredible, the wines superb, the service was
fantastic and of course, our host was marvellous!

Should you go, dine early. We arrived around 6 PM or so, and had no
trouble getting a table, without a reservation. By the time we left,
around 10PM, the "jet setters" were lined up 60 deep, into the
street, waiting for tables!

Thanks, Xavier, for sharing ... and for bringing back memories!

Cheers!
