[LRflex] Howard's last M8 Pano & New M8

Howard showed his last M8 Pano:

Hi Flexers,
Here is the last picture taken with my old M8. It is a pano of Pen
Lake just outside of Huntsville at sunset. After the pictures were
taken to make the Pano the shutter died. RIP.
I think for a last picture it is pretty good.

A very nice pano, Howard.

A few questions:

1) how many shots were used to make is?
2) Did you use one of the fancy, specialized panoramic heads? Or did you simply use the degree markings found on some tripod heads? Or, did you simply guess? 

3) Which "stitching" software did you use?
I was glad to see your post about how German Customs had agreed to allow your replacement to HK. Even more pleased to see how the Leica people were most helpful, if not the couriers!
Heck, by the time you get it, it should be just little over a month from the start! Virtually instantaneous, compared the experiences of some of us! ;-) 

Please let us know when it arrives, and how well it works, when it does.
