[LRflex] Howard's Leitax/Nikon conversion...

Hi Flexers,
We ferried over to Central today for a Chinese New Year lunch and I took the D700 and my Leica R lenses on the ferry. There is lots of traffic in the harbour even during the Chinese New Year holidays. The fastest craft in the harbour is the
Turbo Jet which runs between Hong Kong and the gambling enclave in Macao.

Here's the Santa Maria:

And her sister ship the Madeira - both made by Boeing and they do go like jets!

Good Mornin' Howard!

It looks as if the Leitax mounts are doing a great job!

Either of these two shots would do well as advertising posters for Boeing. (Do they still make such ships?)

We had 3 such boats, years ago, on the Seattle/Victoria/Vancouver run, but, sadly, they were not financially viable and the service soon stopped. Two (at least) of our three were sold to a group doing the HK-Macao run, so it is possible that these two are the same boats - renamed.

Thanks for keeping us "up to speed" on the Leitax gear and enjoy your "previously languishing" glass!

Cheers!
