HCB is not famous for his posed portraits Steve, rather for stolen
snaps. But you might be right as I don't know this book.
a wonderful book Philippe...and of course not posed in the customary
sense.
these portraits arguably tell us something/(a lot) of the real
person...
but then if a portrait is posed, it is because the subject or the
photographer is trying to tell us something...
so returning to the questions...
what and why ?
Steve
Else you're pushing her towards what I described as the Leica
tradition. (cf supra to assess what I consider the risks of doing
so). Think also of how Kyle developed in a completely different form
of portraits, whatever the environment.
