Good Mornin' Peter!

Not at all, Peter. The system worked with the three shots you sent me.
If it fails to work in my trials, well, too bad. I believe I can live
with the DM-R's performance at ISO 800, and anything more will be a bonus.

And, once again, let me thank you for taking the time to post the .dng
files for me to experiment with. Doing so was far superior to a hundred
written reports by other users!

I am, too! What I am looking for is the fine detail the Canon's don't
seem to be able to deliver. Also, I like the colours of the DM-R in the
same way that I prefer the subtle, more accurate colours of Kodak films
to the saturation rich Fuji films which Rose prefers.

Moreover, I find the Canon viewfinder tough to focus (OK with the 400
Telyt) manually and the v/f displays so hard to read for my tired eyes
that I've given up trying. Regardless of results, there is a certain
joy in using any piece of equipment which is superbly crafted and
absolutely intuitive. It won't make for better photos, but it certainly
does enhance the enjoyment of the hobby. The R8 is such a camera and
dammit, I miss my R8! I'm looking forward to using it again! :-)

Cheers!
