I guess you could look at it, that way.

But just as photographic skill is obtained by practice, not purchase, 
good shots are often obtained by patience and persistence.

For example, the two hummer shots I recently showed were the results 
of two sessions, one of 3 hours the other of 4.    Of course, if I'd 
simply wanted a photo of a hummer, I could have set up near a feeder, 
and done well, in fairly short order.

Hunting them "in the wild" requires a lot more patience... and a little luck.

With the Loon, I got more luck, with less need for patience.... but 
it doesn't happen that way, very often!
