Same experience & observation. I've sent an E a day to Kelvin (the owner) since I shot with mine on Monday plus a phone call- just got a return phone message from him saying he's been out-of-town, etc.
There's some chance I might talk with him in the morning before I leave town.

Sounds like you're making progress! I bought mine used, so I likely don't have any complaint, directly with Kelvin (Kevin?)/Fotodiox.

The whole idea of cutting a kerf (closed on both ends) into a thick stainless steel lobe with the intention of using it to spread the material in the middle seems like a pretty dicey idea, but I'm willing to see if there's any acceptable solution that Kelvin can offer. At the very least I would hope that they have a dedicated tool up there for the operation, 'cuz your average jeweler's screwdriver would probably break off in the process...

Yes - it explains, to me, the price difference between the Novoflex (w/springs) and the Fotodiox. However, if, as Ted reports, the Cameraquest adapter does not have springs either, I see little to justify their adapter over the Fotodios, for all other aspects of the adapter are first rate. Better, I think, to just to go all the way and get the Novoflex.

David, do you mind if I forward your E-mail to Kelvin at fotodiox?

Not at all, Bob. I'll be pleased to hear what he has to say!
