[LRflex] Re: For airplane fans- more Spitfires and Red Arrows

Ted, it actually sounds fairly reasonable, but it all sounds a bit Pie in the Sky for the moment, no pictures of work in progress is a little suspicious in my books. But, trusting person as I am, I'll keep taking a peek at their website to see what develops.

It may not be as economically challenging as I thought. :-) It seems one can buy a share in the restoration for little over $800 Canadian. J However, it doesn’t say how long nor how many shares one need buy before the plane is ready for flight? And what kind of wait list they have.

Might be worth looking into if it doesn’t mean sitting around for ten years for them to finish the re-build.

Ted,

I'm happy to have given your morning a good start. I just love your

idea, let me know when you win ( same offer if I win - ok?)and we'll get

in touch with these people. (If we both win we'll take the list people

up in a JU52 and a Dakota) :-)

The idea would be a dream come true for me too - another would be flying

in a Mosquito, the other most beautiful plane in the world.

I agree, the high-altitude clip-wing version looks a little sad in

comparison with the "Original", that beautiful lozenge shape of the

wings is what set the Spit apart from its contemporaries, the Hurricane

looked downright boxy.

Thank for your response - I'm already looking forward to hearing about

your lottery jackpot

Cheers

Douglas
