need simply buy a 10' stereo headphone extension cord (from Radio Shack 
or similar shops) with 1/8" plug & jack (around US$10) rather than 
Canon's ET-10000N1, 10 meter (33 ft) extension cord for nearly $100!  
This saving alone, is worth  more than the entire price!
