[LRflex] Re: Film vs Digital users poll

Hi Eric!

I agree with Eric (who's tabulating this one)... it will be very
interesting. And, I'm willing to but, most of us are still shooting
film, if only because of the high initial price to get into a decent
(non P&S) digital.

For me...

 From 1962 to June 1, 2005 - 100% Film. Mostly B&W, with some
Kodachrome, in the earlier years, Mostly Kodak neg in the last decade.

 From June 1, 2005 onwards - 100% digital. I bought the Canon 20D
and then replaced it with the DMR back from my R8. Sadly, my SL
hasn't seen a roll of film since.

I find the performance of the DMR at low ISO's to be the equal of any
film I've ever used. At high ISO's (ideal for use with the Telyt
400/f6.8 and 2x converter), the performance is not as good as at low
ISO's but the "noise" is less obtrusive than the grain in the equivalent film.
