Good day Flexers. Last time I posted, it was about the use of a 50mm Summicron, first version and the Elpro VIb. We found that the ration of reproduction was doubled. Now, here is a new challenge: Elpro lens on an olympus four thirds. Here to water you mouth: http://xavierf.b.free.fr/Temp/elpro/P1000467_dev.jpg I have recently put my paw on a cheap 25mm pancake, not the most awarded lens but it looks good on a Digilux. Ahem, whatever. The oly 25mm has a filter thread of 43mm. And serie 6 has a a diameter of 44.5mm Now, what was fun is to buy in Alaska an old adapter from the sixties or seventies sold for 42mm (wrong according to other sources) to serie VI: the tiffen #652 Now, what is the picture taken with it at closest distance, F2.8: http://xavierf.b.free.fr/Temp/elpro/L1000365_dev.jpg And the little red box: http://xavierf.b.free.fr/Temp/elpro/L1000360_dev.jpg Ok, remember, these are garage test, in my underground, while having activities on a new computer for Ayda. Compared with the summicron, the DOF is greater and probably the bokeh is not as good. The tone of the images is different, as well. But it's not _that_ bad. ---------------------------- Xavier F.
