I agree, I believe the term is misleading. I prefer "crop factor" but
ideally we'd use the angle of view for a given film or sensor format
instead of focal length equivalents.

Too bad the "angle of view" is not included in the digital EXIF data.
Many of Doug's shots would be taken with an AV-5 lens while street
shooters would often be using their wide angle AV-70's. Sure would
eliminate all the "crop factor", "35mm equivalent" confusion. Think
we can start a trend?
