[LRflex] Bali Pictures

Hello Flexers,
I am back from Bali and here are a few pictures taken during our time there. The internet connections were very slow and expensive so I didn't try to upload any photos while we were there. The panos were taken mostly with the M8 - although there is one 10 panel pano with Esther's G9 - the stitch program on the G9 is very handy. The panos were taken using the Novoflex pano head which helps takes the guess work out of matching the panels and photoshop CS 2 did the rest.

This rice farmer made more money from posing for tourists than harvesting rice, I think.
He belongs to the National Geographic red shirt school of photography.

Here he is again in medium shot

And here is a 10 panel pano of the tegallallang terraces taken with Esther's G9. I panned from right to left and didn't realize there would be the rice farmer and a Japanese tourist with a Leica Digilux in the last left panel. On my 24" I Mac this is a really impressive image and would print out to perhaps 8 feet long by about two feet wide. I think I need to visit the Epson demo store and try it on the 3800.

Here is a 5 panel pano of the Taman Ayun Temple on the road to Bedugal in the Mountains. The Temple is nominated as a Unesco Heritage site and was the best cared for temple that we have seen in Bali

And here are the rice terraces at Bedugal - not as impressive as Tegallallang - but pretty enough. Taken with the M8 and the Elmarit 24 from the terrace of the restaurant where we
stopped for lunch.

And lastly here is the sea scape from the Uluwati monkey temple. Watch out for the monkeys!
They tried to steal my camera bag filled with Leica lenses!
