Good Mornin'!

You are right, Jerry... The tribulations Douglas and I are going through =

are minor, compared with those who have more permanent forms of=20
disabilities.

I thank you for your sympathy... but it can likely be withdrawn now...=20
for yesterday I was able to lift a camera with 400mm Telyt, without=20
substantial pain. The prognosis of total cure by Christmas now seems=20
reasonable.

Yesterday, Rose and I were driving towards Merritt, to do some=20
pre-Christmas shopping. As we passed Mammette Lake we spotted two bald=20
eagles in an old dead tree. Curiously, this is the same tree in which I =

photographed a single Bald Eagle, in the snow, just after last Christmas.=

For the last 3 days, the entire area has been socked in by fog...=20
sometimes we cannot see the houses across the road! So the light was=20
poor and the contrast worse. Temperature was about -6=B0 Celsius (about=
=20
21=B0 Fahrenheit for our American friends) and you can just see the frost=
=20
on the tree. The exposure was 1/250th at f16 (ISO 1600) with the camera =

balanced atop a fence post, for stability.

The LeiCanon's meter was confused by the lighting, and exposed for the=20
grey sky... everything else was seriously underexposed. Some serious=20
manipulations had to be done to get a viable image.

This is not a shot I'd normally post... simply not good enough. But it=20
was fun to be back in the saddle again!

Cheers!
