[LRflex] Re: Angenieux 3X70 lens comparison

Hi Eric,
A Leica thread alright, but we also have posts about CanonsD, Zeiss 
lenses, and more from time to time on the list, don't we? so it's no 
trouble at all for me.

Stopping down is always preferable in terms of quality, expect for bokeh 
for sure. Anyway, what I find really interesting with this manual lense 
is 3.5 for focusing. Indeed, when you consider the Nikon zoom on the 
chart, I would certainly find myself in trouble if the lense only 
started at 5.3 in that respect. So long as we won't have focus 
confirmation/autofocus the brighter the better, even with the brightest 
finders such as the SL's that is dear to many an R user here, I think it 
to be a real asset..
