[LRFlex] Am I a fool?

All:

Last night, in an auction house not 3 doors from my downtown home, they sold 
the Leica gear from a local collector. I had previously examined it, and it was 
as close to mint as you'll ever see. All items were with their original boxes, 
packing and papers.

I didn't attend, as the only piece I would have liked was the 60mm Macro, but I 
felt it would go for much more than my budget, so I passed.

Today, I looked on their website to check on the prices obtained - out of 
simple curiosity. They were:

LEICA R-E CAMERA w/50 Summicron         $300.00
LEICA R5 CAMERA  w/50 Summicron         $350.00
LEICA CL CAMERA  w/40 Summicron         $450.00
LEICA Z2X CAMERA                         $80.00
LEICA MINILUX CAMERA                    $160.00

LEITZ SUMMICRON-R   90mm  f /2          $260.00
LEITZ MACRO-ELMARIT-R  60mm  f /2.8     $460.00
LEITZ ELMARIT-R   35mm  f /2.8          $240.00
LEITZ EXTENDER-R 2X                     $190.00

Remember these are Canadian dollars, so for US$ multiply the price by 0.78!

The question remains... was I a fool, not to go? Or did I save myself from 
buying into a dying breed?

Personally, I'm voting for option [a]!
