[LRFlex] A really nice day!!

Two doses of extreme happiness today.

In answer to a small ad in saturday's paper I visited an elderly
gentleman this afternoon who wanted to do an exchange of his Chrome SL with three lenses (2,8/35,2,8/50,2,8/135) for an M2 or a IIIG.
I happened to have an M2 with a chrome 2/90 and a 3,5/35 so there we were. The deal was over in 30 seconds, each camera found a good home, that was the first dose.

I finally left his flat after 3 solid hours of Leica talk, local camera dealers, greatest bargains, jokes, WWII (from different sides) youth, politics, cats, dogs and food etc, etc, etc.

This extremely nice gent is just short of his eightieth, confined to a wheelchair and had to part with his SL because he can't hold it any more after a second stroke crippled his right hand. In spite of what, for some, would seem an unbearable burden, Harry is as happy as a sandman when he gets a chance to talk Leica.

All in all a really nice day, and two very happy Leica enthusiasts.

cheers
Douglas
