Nuthatches are small songbirds with the unique ability to climb down
the trunk of a tree, head first, as they search for insects and seeds.
In fact, they can only travel down a tree this way, unlike
woodpeckers, who can only go up a tree! When these little fellas
find themselves on the ground, they must fly up to a point where they
can again work their way down.
It gives them, and us, a slightly different perspective!
