[LRflex] A couple of field tests for the oly 11-22mm

Good Day LRFler

As I asked earlier about the Oly 11-22mm, I finally received mine from Germany,
an ex demo, probably but in a mint condition.

This journalist named Wrotniak described the lens as a second after the Oly
7-14mm. Well, I did not know what to think about this lens since there are very
few pages with interesting reviews, only a few user comments.

In the four third world, a zoom of 11 to 22 is equivalent in the R Reflex word
of 22mm to 44mm. It covers at least the 24mm, my favorite being the elmarit
24mm, I'm a happy bunny. More to the point the lens has a F2.8 at it's widest,
a very nice feature.

Mechanically, the lens is well built, the coupling between the Digilux and the
lens is perfect.

At the widest, namely a 11mm (equ.22mm), composition becomes challenging but I
found the perfect subject to celebrate the purchase:

(at widest, at closest distance)

Then a subject to see what the corners bounce back in terms of quality:

Here, in my opinion there are not visible lght fall off, although the
resolution in the corners is a direct consequence of the f2.8.

And finally a last one, typical beginner's curved image, Paris hype shopping
area.

Overall, the lens give, in my eye, some pleasant images, even if the resolution
is probably not as good as a Vario Elmar 80-200mm....

Sorry for presenting some images made by A Digilux3 and some Oly Glass. Let's
hope you will not bark out loud. Waiting for the R10 and some WA...

Cheers.---------------------------------Xavier F. BILLE Maisons-Alfort - France.
