Hi Joe!
Haven't used the Elmarit, but the 90 Summicron (1st ver) is lousy on
tubes or bellows, as stated by Doug. It is also lousy on a 2x
extender! OTOH, it has lovely bokeh and is FAST! Not sure if I
could part with mine, despite it's faults.
