Re: the Canon Noctilux...

Haven't used the EF 50mm f/1.2 - but here's a size and weight comparison:
**EF 50mm f/1.2: 1.2LB (545g), 2.6" L, 3.4" diameter, 1.5' near-focusing distance

I bought my Noctilux used for $1800 in 2002. I'm not likely to upgrade, as the bodies I'd mount the EF 50mm f/1.2 on are much heavier than an M7. The EF lens' autofocus just isn't enough of a draw.
The Noctilux vignettes at f/1, but it's not objectionable at f/1.2. Heck, I haven't minded it at f/1 either. Your Noctilux pics in operating theaters don't show it much either.
But if you want to get closer and have more accurate focus, I can see where you might want the new lens. I just think you could crank up the ISO a half-stop in your dSLR, and use the EF 50mm f/1.4 at 20% of the price. Depth of field differences wouldn't be much between f/1.4 and f/1.2 at 50mm.
