bob,
i actually burned in the edges--which of course means i dodged the
center. i used the burn tool. then i messed with the levels some to
lighten it up and increase the contrast. oddly, it was a well-exposed
negative, which was really boring straight. simulating some blowout
made it look better, IMO.
