Hi Steve!

My understanding is that the DR Summi can be used, just fine, as a normal 50mm. However, you cannot use the "eyes" for the close-up (DR) bit, as the magnification is all wrong.

the DR mounts on the M8 in close focus mode, with or without the glasses....but not in normal mode.... if you crank the lens to normal mode a cam comes out the back and jostles the innards of the M8, not a good thing...

sounds like that can be fixed if you wish by grinding the cam on the DR lens.....
