Thanks, Mark, for your comments. I keep going back because of the views and
the exhilaration of getting to the top. Going up the Mist Trail I stop
before the spray section of the trail and put on my windbreaker. I take the
JMT down because it's a little less steep. There is a postcard view of
Vernal Fall from the gallery where one gets dripped on. At 78 and after two
spinal surgeries I've slowed down a bit on the trail and carry only one M6
and two Summicrons in my day pack.
