Sorry to be so ignorant (I've gotten used to it over the years), but what is
HCJB? All I could find on Google was a church founded in 1931. That seems to
tie in with a 75th anniversary...
Thank you,

Thanks.... it's good to be back...

The last year has been rather insane for me workwise... and I've been reading a
few digests here or there... but scattered at that...

Anyhow... Last November started with a 5 week photo trip to Singapore,
Indonesia, Ghana, Burkina Faso and India.... (and what seemed like every
airport in-between) Somewhere around 10,000 digital photos... (with a 5D) I
would have taken more had I not literally spent half of the time traveling... I
know I traveled at least 45,000 major airline miles.. not sure on the minor
airline ones... and way way way too many hours in cars, trucks and beat-up
vans... (over 40 hours just during 7 days in India). I still have not gone
through and finished converting and cataloging all of that the photos from that
trip.

Nothing more painful than sitting in a van watching the light disappear and the
great photos going by... BTW I did meet photographer Steve McCurry in the New
Dehli airport.

And then it was working on a book project for HCJB's 75th anniversary...
digging through photo archives, selecting / editing... scans... retouching and
restoring images in terrible condition... captions and layouts... writing and
editing text.... It is going to the designer this next week...

Oh and lately.... designing and creating a small "museum" about HCJB's history
here in Quito.

So.... I'm never bored....

But.... I'd much rather be out taking photos... : )

Duane
