Mark,
These are awesome images! I am not much of a nature photographer (I
think I lack the necessary patience), but these fall in the "I wish I
had taken them" category.

This last image was supposed to be a portrait but the heron waited 'til
I set up for the sedate full-body shot with reflection before croaking,
squatting down and uncoiling like a spring to throw himself into the
air. Images captured at Mountain View, California's Shoreline Park this
morning.
