David,
Topica decided to fill each email posting with spam both above and below the
messages. That so enraged all of us, most of the Topica forums moved to less
spammy grounds. Unfortunately, when we switched the subscribers from one
domain to the new domain, we discovered that there were dozens of people who
were subscribed but had the "web only" option. When they started getting
emails suddenly, the response was quick and curt, with the typical response
being "TAKE ME OFF THIS MOTHER F***ING LIST IMMEDIATELY!!!!".
Thanks for being cooler about it.
Jeffery

Subject: The unsubscribe dilemma
Dear Leicamites
I suspect that Photodon and others like me, as old subscribers, have been
caught up in some sort of Virus occurrence. One (or more) of your Group has
an infected computer and their computer is resending all received e-mails to
everyone who has ever been in their address book. As an old subscriber I am
"back on the list" albeit involuntarily - for about two weeks now.
Sounds like a difficult one to fix but perhaps your "adjudicator"" may be
able to help discover the guilty party.
Good luck - meanwhile my SPAM folder gets full more quickly these days!
