Each year, the BC-ATV Club hosts a "Poker Run" for the members of
it's member clubs. For many years, it has rotated through a
different town, each year. But, three years ago, it was Logan Lake's
turn, and the local club did such a good job of providing trails and
hosting the group (1000 last year, more this year) that it was
decided to make Logan Lake the permenanent venue for the "Run".
For those who are not familiar with the concept of a "Poker Run",
these are popular events with horse, motorcycle, ATV (All Terrain
Vehicle) and similar clubs. Each rider draws a card, when they
register. They then collect a card at each checkpoint, along the
way, and then draw their last card, to a make a Poker hand, when they
return. At the end of the day, prizes are given for the best, second
best, etc, hands held. The prizes vary from a $6000 Quad down to
hats and screwdriver kits.
A few photos of this year's run, held yesterday, can be seen here:

If you are on dial-up, this page may take up to a minute to load, as
there are 7 shots, and although each is fairly small, they add
up. You have been warned!
Comments, good or bad, always welcomed.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers!
