Sonny,
I find the "grain effect" gone not so much as an enhancement of the picture, 
but a wonderful.... "Lightroom" tool for making the photograph cleaner pointing 
up another wonderful thing about digital over film. ;-)

Like what "tool" would one use in the darkroom shooting 1600 film or 3200 for 
that matter, that would soften the grain and not the picture?
