Re: Sam

David:
Beautiful pictures of a cute pup. The metering gave just the right exposure, and you can see that 'Every Hair Sharp' Leica quality.

The out-of-focus background in the first image is perfect - its color shows you're outside, and it really makes the dog 'pop' without distractions.

Cross-bred dogs tend to have better temperaments and soundness/health than purebreds. So your daughter should enjoy a lot of good years with him.

A couple of days ago, I was asked to take some shots of our daughter's new puppy... Sam.

Sam is a Border Collie/Multipoo cross... but since neither parent is purebred, he's really a "Heinz 57 Varieties".

While short on size (as you can see, when standing next to our own pup, Tequila), he is long on "cute" - as all puppy's are!

Black fur on any animal makes metering a nightmare, but the spot metering of the R8 worked like a charm!

Technical: 80~200/4 Vario-Elmar on R8 w/DMR. ISO 800.

Comments, criticism welcomed, as always.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers!
