Rollei 40mm f2.8 HFT Sonnar lens for M bayonet?



Ho ho ho! Time to find a nice Christmas gift for me (better I pick it than
nice German wife buys me another sweater). That being the case, does anyone
know if the Rollei 40mm f2.8 HFT Sonnar Lens with M Bayonet Mount for Rollei
RF35 - is indeed Leica M (M6) compatable?

I know the Rollei lens is as sharp as a tack in the compact Rollei 35
format. I've also been looking for a nice Summicron-C (40 for the CL) but
the usual suspects (Tamarkin, Don Chatterton, Urey) don't have any in stock.

Any information regarding the Rollei 40mm lens would be appreciated.
