Mark Bohrer offered:
I got a request to photograph a local community theater's production
of the Cole Porter classic Kiss Me Kate. The theater was pleasantly
intimate, just 200 seats. As I scampered to different positions with
three cameras, I was glad it was a dress rehearsal with no shooting
restrictions - except no supplemental lighting.
That made it challenging - fast Leica prime lenses came in handy,
but longer zooms with IS helped.
My goal was telling the story in 20-30 pictures with close-ups of
the principals, plus unusual viewpoints and action. I also wanted to
capture ensemble activity. Since the theater group needed 8X10s for
their lobby, I had to choose compositions that displayed well at
that size - making group shots tougher:

Nicely done, Mark! More so because you didn't get to see one of the
rehearsals, earlier. That always makes planning your shots much easier.
All in all ... "Ya done good, kid!"
