With respect to the "burn"- I agree it is pretty
obvious, but as noted, the smaller halo effect is more
pleasing to me- I might try to smooth it out. 

With respect to the comment of what has my third note
to do with Leica/Leica photography- One of the joys of
being part of this list is the fine minds that are
present, besides the plethora of talent. Although
rare, I never have hesitancy about spouting off, when
there is a something related to photography that
interests me viscerally. I generally have a "bully
pulpit" teaching law, but once in a while one gets a
photo article so immensely gut wrenching, such as
Sontag's wonderful piece (N.Y.Times 23, May, 2004)
that I find I have to say something. The note was
written before I read the article, now, having read
it, the piece should be required reading for America. vroger
