Re: OT: WinXP & Ethernet HELP!

Doug:
Configuring an Ethernet to wideband router connection to the Internet depends on your Internet service provider, your connection method, and the wideband modem you're using.

What equipment and Internet connection type do you have, and what problems are you experiencing?

I've used two different DSL providers, and access the 'net with two PCs and two Macs through wired 802.3 100BASE-TX and wireless 802.11g connections. I also rubbed elbows with folks who designed network equipment when I was part of the Ethernet standards effort. That's where my experience comes from.

If you are familiar with configuring a WinXP computer to connect to the
internet via an ethernet port please e-mail me off-list, thanks!
