Hello all,
Picked up an almost mint older version of the focus following Novoflex
400/5.6, the one with two handles, today for only 200 Euros
about USD240.
Has anyone used this set up before, Doug Herr maybe, I'd like to know
how the lens head compares with the Telyt 400/6.8.
and whether the remote releases for different camera models are just a
normal wire release with a thread on the end that
screws into the front handle.
Thanks in advance
Douglas
PS Hannover is full of used Leicas and the prices are dropping fast,
today I saw 5 x R8, 2 x R3 Safari, 4 x R6.2, and quite a few Ms.
The R8s are now selling below the price of an s/h R7 and a lot lower
than the price of an R6.2.
Average cost of the R8 was around 1000euros, lowest 899 highest 1250.
The Safaris were both under 1000, one with a black Summicron,
the other with an original Safari lens.
At the other end of the scale my local dealer has a beautiful new black
paint M with a matching 50mm , and an anthracite M7, I didn't ask the
price - I don't like feeling that I'm destitute. Anyway if the situation
on the s/h Leica market in Hannover is like this (Hannover pop ca 500000
and has only 2 main photographic shops and only 1 purely second hand
dealer) then the rest of the larger cities in Germany must be flooded
with Leica stuff.
