New stilts in the Baylands

Palo Alto Baylands naturalist Deb Bartens says people don't like wetlands
because they smell at low tide and they think they're pretty empty of life.
She and I agree there's LOTS of life out there if you're patient and watch
for it. Heck, you don't even have to be patient for hungry young
black-necked stilts to come close to you:
