Nathan's PAW 50: Nasty weather and magic

Last week I was in Amsterdam a couple of evenings, so most of the images are from there. But first, one of my commuting pictures, in my favorite small town, Zaltbommel:

Then Wednesday night in Amsterdam I stumbled into this beer shop, called De Bierkoning (King of Beers)--and they are not kidding:

Then I took a walk on Kalverstraat and saw these two French women (I overheard them) who had really caught the Christmas spirit:

The smaller, residential streets in the center of Amsterdam are also beautifully illuminated:

Then came the weekend. The weather was definitely not conducive to taking a motorcycle ride:

...or to sitting on our deck chairs:

But my son had a party to go to in Amsterdam on Saturday night, so I drove him there and went for a short walk after safely depositing him. Many of the bridges across the canals are like this right now:

The complete PAW index is at:

and comments/critique are as always gratefully welcomed.

I am off on the annual Christmas trek to Denmark and Poland on Thursday morning, so my next PAWs will most likely come when I am back in the second week of January--unless I end up posting something from my laptop while there.
