I can now understand why, Doug. Of course your bird pictures are
superb because you are a superb photographer and because of your
knowledge of the birds and your patience etc.--but certainly the
equipment plays its part too.

When I zoom in on Wilma's eye in Lightroom, I can see why I bought
the
M8 (and also that the 35mm Summarit is a great lens). This image is
sharper right out of the camera than I would have gotten from my E3
or
previously my Canon 1DII, after sharpening in those cases.
For very similar reasons I'm a rabid fan of the DMR's output.
