Hi  Mark,

Good stuff!! The action images are great. Your "blur" question?" I prefer
the panning with the bike as you have in the tighter frame as that one is
right on the mark perfect in how I shoot that kind of action..

 

You have enough blur to feel the action and you shot in sync with the rider
because his uniform has a perfectly sharp area at the waist . Meaning you
panned exactly at the speed of the rider. Or as I call this style of
shooting. "Swishy Pans"  Just the right amount, not too much blur to not
understand what the athlete is doing and not sharp enough to stop him dead
in his tracks.
