Yes indeed,
3 of Cook's 4 ships were built in Whitby, and he was an apprentice in Grape Lane there, although his expeditions didn't actually start in Whtby.
Bram Stoker lied in the housewhere we hae our holiday apartment.
Equipment - Canon 20D with Leica, Zeiss, Tokikina and Canon lenses.
