Hello Sonny,
I'm sorry I didn't have time to hang out more. I had about an hour and a half
to take photos before I had to be on the road back home so I was rushing
around. On the card was full I went back to the car.
On Leica spotting: I met one woman with a M6 and a dual range Summicron on St.
Charles and another woman carrying two DSLRs (thus probably a pro) on Napoleon
but with a Konica Hexar rangefinder over one shoulder too. I was shooting a
Leica CL with a Cosina-Voigtlander 28mm earlier on St. Charles but left it in
the car while using the Nikon in the French Quarter.
I have a link to some of the photos (not sorted yet) at
http://www.flickr.com/photos/71357964@N00/
Most were with a 50mm lens on a D70. My "good" 24mm developed a sticky
aperture so I used an older manual focus 24mm from the 80's on the Nikon D70
but it wouldn't meter. Good lens though. I think they fixed that metering
problem on the D300 but it is annoying not to have basic stop down metering
when trying to shoot fast. I will add the Leica shots from the CL later.
Do you have more from the M8? Looking forward to seeing those.
John
