Thanks Bob,
the flowers seem to last only about a day and a half, but they are such a wonderful splash of colour in the garden, particularly at this time of year when everything else is wilting.

Douglas, this is the time of the year to move to Arizona...

cheers
Douglas

Douglas,
I like them very much! Thanks for posting them. There
is a Tibouchina in our block I've always wanted to
photograph, but it's so delicate that even the
slightest breath gets it trembling; a very difficult
macro shot.
And now I know its name; thanks!
Again, lovely images,
Bob

I managed to find a 1:1 adapter for the Leica
4/100mm Macro - tried it out with the 20D in the garden yesterday.

Something the cat brought in , Posy usually brings
frogs or shrews, the Dragonfly was quite a change,

Taken at night with the pop-up flash

Solanum (I think. Anyway it's a shrub with very
tasty egg shaped melons on it)

Cosmea - always reminds me of my Grandfather's
garden.
