Hi Ric,

I'm assuming you mean the C/V 35 f 1.2? Jeeeeesh I really hate to tell you
this. but. All I did was use it on my M7's as it came out of the box! And
it worked beautifully. M8 arrived, just locked it into place like any other
Leica lens and it has now almost become welded to the M8 and everything
works like a dream.

My Grandson used it the other day on an old M6 I still have because he
thought it would be neat to "shoot film" to see what it was like. The lens
is now back on the M8 clicked into place just as smoothly & ready for a
shoot tomorrow. And focuses just fine and did so on the M6.

My gut feeling from your description is, I'd get the lens back into the
hands of whom ever did the markings and tell them to fix it right smartly. I
mean if it doesn't work on a film M body, then it sounds like you might have
a problem. I surely hope not!
