 A full-frame digital SLR eliminates the film-scanning step.

But the Elan 7E also works great with Leica R lenses, gives you eye-controlled focus with AF lenses, and cost less than 5% of the 5D's price. And the Elan 7E also is 'full-frame' - 35mm film. ;)

Initial results with the 24mm f/3.5L TS-E for perspective correction and Elan 7E / 100UC film look very good.

The 5D is full frame. Works great with Leica R lenses, too ;-)
