Re: M8 comments :-)

The fact it was the Noctilux and the 1.3 comparison produced a 76mm? or what the hell it was didn't matter... I just framed with the view finder .... click!

So what? you GOT what you saw in the VF or you got something else?

As someone who tends to use everything right to the edges and who does most of my photography when I "am there" and often in never-to- be-there-again situations it is important to me to know that what i see is at least CLOSE to what I'll get.

Yeah I can re-shoot something if i see right away that the capture was not what i wanted, provided this was not a once in a lifetime expression or action.

Say I am at a polo match pr hockey game and shoot with my 50 on the camra -- will I have recorded what the frame lines said i saw? or will I have so ethi ng else perhaps a nazrrower field of view. They ain'tgoing to go back and replay the shot on goal for me....

And i am not enamored of Numbers or special focal lengths or even particular lenses, but I'd like to use what I have with the knowledge that I won't be cutting off stuff when it is critical.

I have enough problems losing rolls of film occasionally, plus i really loike th easy life the "light room" affords, compared to the darkroom i no longer have or have access to....
