What keeps me from using the M3 much is really not the hassle of
loading. I'm left-eyed, and viewing through the rangefinder causes the
very hard metal film advance to gouge my eyeglasses. After ruining two
pair, I just stopped using the M3.

I have two M3s which I like very much. I have installed the Leica quick
load system in them and although some people have problems with the
quick
loaders I find it works fine for me as long as I remember to pull out
the
center rod to reset the counter. I think all of the M's are great and I
even like my M5 very much. But a properly tuned M3 is such a sweet,
smooth
piece of craftsmanship.
