Subject: Last Rodeo Photo

This young lady, named Madison (age 12), had a good run and roped her steer well. The hazer turned out to be her dad. So, as they turned to return to the start, she was still coiling her rope and he had the
look of a proud dad....

I should point out that the contrast seems a bit harsh, in the web image. Yet, I'm looking at a 6x8" print and it looks just great. Not sure why a jpg from the same file should show such strong contrast.<<<

Hi David,
Nice feeling photo with the dust background. Beautiful separation as the riders come into sunlight with or without contrast! ;-) I believe I told you before?. ?Don?t point out things, IE: the contrast as a potential negative aspect on the screen!? If it looks great on the print that?s truly all that matters! Sure we all want the best we can squeeze on the screen, but if that image looks great, fine. If it doesn?t look as great as in a print?.It?s no big deal as the print comes first if that?s what you?re selling or giving as a gift. As soon as you point out in this case, the contrast thing, you open negative thoughts by viewers who?ve never seen the real thing, therefore whether it?s right or wrong is not relevant! Particularly when this photo looks so strong as it?s a damn fine ?rodeo infield dusty mood photograph? just as real life is! It looks smashing! Don?t make me have to tell you this again or you?ll have to stay after school and clean the black boards!! J
Good on you for another great western life style photo.

Hi Ted!

Thanks for the compliment. :-)

But, you have no idea how many after-school sessions I spent cleaning blackboards...

I'll try to do better, next time! Yessir! I will!! ;-)

Cheers!
