As I've already observed, well done Greg for pointing this out. It
really is so easy to miss.
But is it really the s/n rather than a part number? The only reason I
ask is that I read somewhere that when Leitz started putting s/ns on
Elmars, they commenced rather arbitrarily around 80000 to 90000.
OTOH Chris Williams kindly dated the lens to the early 1930s from his
sources, so presumably what I read is wrong.
