Thanks-- I saw Godfrey's portfolios-- or some of them a month ago. Yep he's pretty good...

Had a talk with one camera repair guy *suggested in the LEG list) who suggested that maybe I better just use rhe 1937 IIIa as is, unless i want to spend a small fortune. In fiddling with it i noticed all the slow speeds are about 1/20th, too,, but the faster speeds seem to be OK now..... Ås I do not need this for awhile, I'll proobably wait.

If I'm lucky I may get back to Califiornia next year in which case I plan to visit with SEVERAL leica repair/sales outlets... Just for fun. Maybe touch base with the shooters i know from all these camera lists
